The objectives of this project were to stimulate the demand for coffee and enhance the earnings of the coffee-producing countries. These objectives were pursued by establishing techniques for producing gourmet coffees and defining quality criteria; heightening consumer and producer awareness of the wide range of quality coffees; developing a suitable marketing strategy for the differentiated coffees; and assessing the technical-financial viability of gourmet coffee production and marketing.
