  • The project examined the strategic problems facing cotton producers. Country studies have been undertaken by domestic research organisations with the assistance of international consultants. 

    The study was launched in 1993 and completed in 1995, covering Brazil, China, Egypt, India, Mali, Mexico, Pakistan, Tanzania and Uzbekistan. The project report was published in 1995 by the World Bank as Technical Paper No. 287.
