Common Fund for Commodities to Champion Inclusive Finance at Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4)
Amsterdam, 25 June 2025 — The Common Fund for Commodities (CFC) will participate in the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4), to be held in Seville, Spain, from 30 June to 3 July 2025. Convened under the auspices of the United Nations General Assembly (Resolution 78/230), FfD4 marks the first global summit on financing for development in a decade, offering a timely platform to address the urgent need for mobilizing public and private resources for sustainable development, climate resilience, and poverty reduction.
As the global community confronts escalating climate crises and persistent inequality, the conference will assess progress since the adoption of the Addis Ababa Action Agenda (2015) and seek to forge new global consensus on financing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through six high-level, multi-stakeholder roundtables.
The CFC, with its decades of experience financing commodity-dependent communities, will contribute practical insights on how to foster inclusive economic growth through innovative impact investment strategies.
