Invest in the missing middle to boost smallholder farmers’ climate resilience

Smallholder farmers in the poor developing countries are the most vulnerable to the effects of climate change. 

Extreme weather events threaten their livelihoods, which intensifies poverty and hunger. At COP27, its crucial that leaders work to unlock investment in small and medium sized agribusinesses - the missing middle - that support smallholders to benefit from climate smart innovation.
