EcoEnterprises Fund III
The EcoEnterprises Fund III (EcoE III) is an impact investment fund that invests in Latin American SMEs sourcing raw materials from collectors or smallholder farmers for value-added processing. The target sectors include sustainable agriculture, agroforestry, aquaculture, and wild-harvested forest products. EcoE III seeks to invest in growing companies that cater to increasing demand for organic food products and certified wood in the United States.
The CFC became a shareholder of EcoE III at its first close in late 2018. EcoE III is expected to make 18 long-term capital investments, ranging in size from USD 2 million to USD 6 million, with an average investment duration of six to eight years. EcoE III aims to create at least 5,000 jobs and connect 25,000 small-scale producers.
